This is a Java program. It's fairly complete, except that it lacks a subcircuit mechanism. It is free, apparently unmaintained, and crashes a lot. If you use it, make sure to save your work frequently.
The linked file is a self-extracting zip file. Run it in the
root of the C drive. It contains a java.policy file which
allows java to write the hard drive. I know that works on the only
95 boxes we used to have, but it may need to go elsewhere on NT class
machines.
This is also a java program, and it's not too bad. Source code is not available, though.
A nice-looking Window-based simulator. Haven't tried it beyond install-and-see-if-it runs, but it does that much without problems.
A fairly-nice Linux-based server. I'm a bit annoyed with it now, since I've found a couple of bugs. But I don't know if its generally any worse than some of the others I haven't stressed so much.
An older, not-so-pretty Unix-based system that works reasonably well.
